2 Indian soldiers killed in Poonch Army

Damages 11 Pak Posts
Two soldiers and a civilian woman were killed and two personnel injured after Pakistani forces fired along the Line of Control (LoC) on Sunday , forcing retaliatory shelling by India in which 11 Pakistani posts were damaged in the Poonch sector on Sunday .The three fresh casualties ended the five-day lull following eight civilian deaths in Samba and other parts of Jammu along the International Border (IB) and LoC last week.
The provocative ceasefire violations by Pakistan are widely seen as retaliation against the surgical strikes carried out by the special Indian forces that targeted several terror launchpads in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
The Army said Pakistan is using heavy firing to once again set up terror camps of Jaish-e-Mohammad across the 192-kilometre IB stretch in Jammu.
“Pakistan has shifted its terror camps from Srinagar to Jammu as the entire civil secretariat shifts bases here in winters. The chatter caught on our intercepts reveals a total of 38 terror camps suspected to be set up here,“ said a senior Army officer. Gursewak Singh, a 23 year-old sepoy of 22 Sikh regiment, succumbed to wounds to his intestine and chest. He was from village Warana in Amritsar's Tarn Taran district.
Singh was wounded while trying to foil infiltration attempts by Pakistan in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch. Minutes later, a non commissioned officer, Naik Tupare Rajendra Na rayan, too was killed to an indiscriminate firing by Pakistan on Indian posts. The 43-year-old belongs to Karve village in Kolhapur in Maharashtra.
Separately , a BSF sub inspector Nitin Kumar too was injured in the firing in Poonch.
At the time of filing this report, there was heavy exchange of fire at the forward posts in Sagra and Balnoi areas in Poonch. Jammu police was setting up nakas to check infiltration at several places, while a dozen bullet-proof vehicles were despatched from the CRPF to thwart any ambush attack India has now lost 10 soldiers to Pakistani firing since the September 29 surgical strikes.
