Today's hearing in the Supreme Court of the state of the waters

New Delhi: The Supreme Court about the validity of the headlines in the agreement to cancel the 2004 Act of Punjab waters to give his opinion. Under this Act, the state had canceled all agreements with neighboring states waters especially in Haryana. The five-member constitutional bench headed by Justice Anil R. The bench heard arguments May 12 about it. Punjab Assembly on July 12, 2004, sided river waters as all agreements and other riparian states on cancellation of Haryana had objected. After Dr. UPA government had handed over the case to the Supreme Court by the President under the leadership of Manmohan Singh. Unlike court decisions in other cases, in this case sought only sunaegi decision that only the president's opinion on the issues under Article 143 (1) of the Constitution.
During the arguments the government is not obliged to answer all the issues to be argued opinion requested by the President of the Supreme Court. The bench should it without an opinion. State argued that if the Supreme Court gives his opinion about the validity of this law will not necessarily believe it's related parties. Haryana had contended that the order to cancel the decision of the purpose of the Supreme Court Act 2004, which finished in Punjab, the Sutlej-Yamuna Link Canal. Haryana finished the canal in your area.
