Fire Erupts in Parked Vehicles Near Mahakumbh Mela Venue
Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh - A fire broke out on Saturday morning in two parked vehicles along the main road leading to the ongoing Mahakumbh Mela.
Firefighters responded swiftly, deploying six fire tenders to extinguish the blaze. The cause is suspected to be the extreme heat generated by the large number of vehicles parked for the Mahakumbh.
This incident comes a week after another fire erupted at the Mahakumbh venue, allegedly caused by a gas cylinder explosion.
Mahakumbh Mela Sees Record Attendance
Despite the fire incidents, the Mahakumbh Mela continues to draw massive crowds.
Drone visuals captured a sea of devotees participating in the holy dip. Since the Mahakumbh's commencement, an estimated 102 million people have taken the holy dip, exceeding expectations. The state government anticipates over 45 crore visitors throughout the event.
